Established in 1931, John Mitchell Fine Paintings is a family-run Mayfair gallery specialising in Old Master, British and European paintings and drawings. Now led by the founder’s grandsons, James and William Mitchell, the gallery combines rigorous selectivity with careful research and scholarship. It is also known for its long-running exhibitions of historic Alpine art and its representation of British landscape painter James Hart Dyke.
